There is a transparent glass-like substance in our eyes called the lens. The loss of the transparency of this lens is called cataract. Since the lens of the eye is no longer transparent the vision can't reach to the eye exactly and the patient sees the image blurry. The most common symptom of this is blurred vision. Colors are seen more pale. Despite the clear vision glasses are not guaranteed. There can be sun glare and halos around lights at night. A temporary improvement in near vision may also be in some types of cataracts. The most common cause of this is growing old. Some medicines, certain diseases such as diabetes, and trauma are the other causes. Cataract can be seen as genetically without connecting to any reason. Surgery is the only way of treatment.
